Welcome to Lyngdal

Hiking, beaches, salmon fishing, fjords, viking history and mysterious stones are just some of the things on offer in Lyngdal and Hægebostad. Lyngdal extends literally from the sea to the hills, the mountains and fjords and offers adventures throughout. There is a many shopping centres and great possibilities for salmon fishing.

Getting here and around

Car: To get to Lyngdal from Stavanger, use the E39 and Rv42 which takes 2 hours. From Kristiansand or Oslo, use the E39 highway. From Oslo the journey is 5 hours, from Kristiansand 1.5 hours.

Bus: The Lavprisekspressen bus will take you from Stavanger to Lyngdal as well as Oslo or Kristiansand to Lyngdal. 

Train: There are no trains to Lyngdal but the train from Stavanger to and from Kristiansand stops at Moi and Sirdal which are about an hour's drive away from Lyngdal.

Air: There are international airports at Stavanger and Kristiansand and both have car hire services. There are two Norwegian Airlines that operate international flights from these airports including Widerøe and SAS.
