Shopping in Mandal

The southernmost city in Norway.

 

Mandal is the center of Lindesnes municipality. Here you can enjoy strolling along the pier in the sun, dining out and go shopping.

You'll find both charming niche shops and larger chain stores in Norway's southernmost pedestrian street, at the ALTI center, and in Øvrebyen.

The square is located at the entrance to the pedestrian street. Here you'll find Håland, a cozy shop offering interior decor items and a wide selection of yarn. There's also a separate section for curtains, fabrics, duvets, and pillows.

Right next door, you'll find Olivia's Hus, which boasts a great selection of interior decor, both new and vintage furniture, and a large clothing section for women, men, and youth

On the other side of the square, you'll also find stores such as:

Berge and B.Young, which are fashion boutiques for women, and Bare Barn, which sells high-quality children's clothing from well-known brands.

Right next door is Lampa AS, a small and cozy lighting store, which is part of the Mesterlys chain.

The neighboring store is Lille Danske, a niche boutique filled with a wide variety of vintage Danish furniture and interior decor. At Lille Danske, you'll also find high-quality products from local artists and designers.

The shoe store Tønnesen 1937, which has been operated through four generations, offers a large and varied selection of shoes and other lifestyle products.

Image, located just above Tønnesen, sells stylish, high-quality fashion clothing for both women and men.

At Gullsmed Danielsen Eftf, there's a varied selection of exquisite gold and diamond jewelry. They also have their own workshop.

The bookstore Norli, which is Norway's largest bookstore chain, is also located in the pedestrian street. Here, you can purchase books, games, puzzles, and hobby products, among other things.

Take a break along the way at one of the restaurants located in the pedestrian street. Have lunch at Tidemands Cafe, dinner at Hr. Redaktør or SMOI, or indulge in a delicious cinnamon bun "kaneldrøm" from Edgars. Also, make sure to visit the playroom for plenty of fun.

The toy store in Mandal is a different kind of toy store, creating a unique combination of experiences and activities. At the back of the toy store, there is a separate section called Stage and Hobby. This is a voluntary organization that offers experiences for the whole family all year round, free of charge!

Norsk Flid Husfliden Mandal works to unite Norwegian handicraft and traditional craftsmanship with modern design. They offer a variety of quality products within categories such as traditional costumes (bunad), yarn, clothing, interior décor, applied arts, and crafts.

Here at the end of the pedestrian street, you'll also find:

"Naturligvis," which is a cross between a clothing store and a sports shop offering goods tailored for outdoor enthusiasts or the average man on the street.

In Øvrebyen, you'll find the ALTI center, which with its 45 stores, is the largest shopping center in the district. Here, you'll find clothing stores, shoe shops, bakeries, restaurants, hairdressers, and several other exciting shops.

Sport 1 Mandal is located right across the road from the ALTI center and is a full-service sports store with a wide selection across most categories.
