The new Hovden Badeland opens in fall 2025.

In 2022, the previous wellness area at the water park was destroyed in a fire, while the rest of the facility remained undamaged and remains open as usual.

 A construction project is currently underway that began in spring 2024, which will result in a unique bathing and wellness center.

The grand opening is scheduled for September 27, 2025, at 9:00 AM!

Hovden Badeland, a paradise for water play, wellness, and relaxation for the entire family.

Here you’ll find water slides, an obstacle-filled river, waterfalls, hot tubs, a baby pool, a sauna, and comfortable lounge chairs—plus a café offering a wide selection of delicious dishes.

The current facility is open as usual.

When the new facility is completed, it will be a truly unique concept in our part of the world.

The combination of a heated swimming pool positioned above a ski trail has no known parallels in Norway or elsewhere in Scandinavia.

This will be an attraction that truly puts Hovden and Setesdal on the map.

Here are some of the new features:

• A swimming hall with a 25-meter pool and diving boards at 1, 3, and 5 meters

• A wellness area with saunas, a cold plunge pool, and hot tubs

• An infinity pool (aqueduct) stretching over the ski trail, offering views toward Hovdenuten and Storenos

• A sauna just a few meters from the riverbank—ideal for a relaxing break after a day on the slopes

You can also follow the construction process minute by minute via webcam. If you take a trip on the ski trail, you can already walk beneath the aqueduct. Welcome to the warmth—year-round.
