Day 1: Kristiansand – The Archipelago and Coastal Wonders

Morning: Arrival in Kristiansand

  • Arrival at Kristiansand Airport or from your preferred starting point.

Late Morning: Exploring the Beautiful Archipelago

  • RIB sightseeing: Begin your adventure with a boat tour of the Kristiansand archipelago. In winter, the islands are even more magical, with rugged coastline, snow-covered islands, and serene fjords. The tranquility of this coastline offers the perfect introduction to the beauty of Southern Norway.

Afternoon: Kristiansand City and Surroundings

  • Explore Kristiansand: After the boat tour, spend some time in Kristiansand, walking through the charming streets with colorful houses, the picturesque Posebyen old town, and the bustling city center.
  • Overnight in Kristiansand: Stay at a cozy hotel in Kristiansand, ready to head north on the next day’s adventure.

Day 2: Setesdal – Scenic Nature and UNESCO World Heritage

Morning: Scenic Drive to Setesdal

  • Drive to Setesdal: Enjoy a picturesque drive up to Setesdal, a valley surrounded by majestic mountains and unspoiled wilderness.
  • Setesdal’s UNESCO Heritage: Discover the beauty of Setesdal, a region that has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site due to its unique natural and cultural value. Known for its untouched landscapes, old wooden stave churches, and rich traditions, Setesdal is a must-visit for nature lovers.

Afternoon: Journey through the Suleskardvegen to Lysefjorden

  • Arrive in the beautiful town Flekkefjord, and spend the night at Flekkefjord Maritime Hotel. 

Day 3: Flekkefjord, Hidra and Magma Geopark

Morning: Flekkefjord

  • Explore Flekkefjord: Take a stroll through the town’s charming streets, lined with colorful houses and nestled between steep hillsides. Explore the quaint shops and local markets before boarding the ferry to Hidra Island.

Afternoon: Hidra island

  • Discover Hidra Island: Hidra is a small, beautiful island just off the coast of Flekkefjord. Known for its idyllic landscapes, white sandy beaches, and friendly locals, Hidra is a peaceful retreat.
  • Island Tour: Take a guided tour around the island, stopping at historical sites, coastal cliffs, and beaches. Hidra is known for its old wooden houses, and visitors can also learn about the island’s history as a former fishing village.

Evening: Magma geopark

  • Explore Magma Geopark, one of Norway’s most unique geological sites. Here you can learn about the region’s ancient volcanic formations, some of which are said to resemble moon rocks!
  • Photo Stops: The landscape is stark, dramatic, and often looks otherworldly. It’s the perfect place for photographers to capture the surreal beauty of Southern Norway’s geology.

Day 5: Nordsjøveien, Lista Beaches, and Lindesnes Lighthouse

Morning: Drive the Scenic Nordsjøveien, Kvåsfossen laaksesenter

Late Morning: Lista Beaches
