Tini quite literally grew up in a shop. Today, she runs T.Lynn an elegant mother-and-daughter boutique in the heart of Kvadraturen. Few know Kristiansand’s shopping scene better than her. Here, she shares her top tips for shopping in the city, with recommendations that combine style, quality, and local charm.
T-Lynn is a mother-and-daughter boutique, which is a naturally as I have taken over the shop from my mother, who still works here. I grew up in this store, and maybe that’s why I developed a passion for design and fashion at an early age, says Tini.
Tini is a trained retail manager and has worked in various parts of the industry since. Her experience has given her a solid understanding of what customers want and need. She's passionate about helping people find clothes that make them feel good and look great.
A perfect shopping trip:
Shopping in Kristiansand is a charming experience with a great mix of small local shops and well-known brands. The city has a cozy and relaxed atmosphere, with lovely stores offering personal service. It's the perfect place to enjoy a nice lunch and a cup of coffee at one of the many cafés and restaurants. With shops ranging from fashion and interiors to art and specialties, it’s easy to turn your shopping trip into a full experience.
I often start with a coffee at Sval, says Tini. It gives me energy to explore all the gems in Kvadraturen.
Tini adds that the best shopping is found in Kvadraturen, no doubt. Especially in the side streets. Many believe that the main street, Markens, has the best shops, but the most exciting gems are often found when you take a few steps off the beaten path. Dronningens gate, where T.Lynn is located, is a great example — her you will find niche stores for clothing, shoes, interiors, and food.
