In the archipelago outside Lillesand, there are miles of paddling routes to suit you, whether you are a beginner, experienced or something in between. Here you can paddle safely
groomed throughout the year, but you can also find the exposed trails where even a very experienced paddler can feel mastery.
For those who come with their own kayak, it is easy to get out on the sea from one of the many small beaches around the city centre, on Justøya, in Høvåg or eastwards in Kaldvellfjorden. If you're lucky, you can borrow both a kayak and a trolley kayak for free at the BUA equipment library. (link) Otherwise, you can rent the equipment you need from Padlegleden (link).
The paddle trail started in Lillesand in the spring of 2023, and is run by former professional paddler Hakeem Teland. In addition to renting kayaks and the necessary equipment, he arranges guided trips, paddling courses and private technique lessons,
