You can see fish and shellfish swimming in tanks or treat yourself to an ice cream while watching the boats pass through the Gravane canal. 8. Have a stroll in Posebyen, the oldest part of Kristiansand

Enjoy the idyllic atmosphere in Posebyen. Take a delightful stroll in the wooden house district of Kristiansand. Posebyen is the oldest neighborhood in Kristiansand, in fact, it's the only neighborhood that remained after the city fire in 1892. Here, you can take a leisurely walk and admire one of the largest collections of low and old wooden buildings in Northern Europe.

9. Take a trip out of the ordinary at Tømmerrenna i Vennesla

Take an exciting hike along the river, through tunnels, and over bridges - in a approximately 4-kilometer-long timber chute. The timber chute in Vennesla is currently the only and longest of its kind in all of Norway. This original timber chute has become a historical site and has been restored and preserved over the years. The old wooden structure was used to float timber from the forest to the river in ancient times.
