Fishing at Sea
Asgeir is also one of the people behind the fishing app "fiskher," which was developed in Lillesand. It tells you where and how to fish along the entire Norwegian coast. Just outside Lillesand, the sea is teeming with mackerel, pollack, ling, tusk, cod, haddock, and coalfish – not to mention the perhaps most sought-after by many, the sea trout. Southern Norway is a paradise for sea trout fishermen, and in Lillesand, you'll find several great sea trout spots that are accessible from the shore. Fishing rods and lures are available for borrowing at BUA Lillesand.

Freshwater Fishing
In Lillesand, there are also many opportunities for freshwater and river fishing. Notably, we have the Kaldvelle River, where you can catch fine trout throughout the season from June 1st to September 30th. (Please note that all fishing in the same area is prohibited from October to May.)
In the Kaldvelle River, there are trout stretches from Sliperifossen down to the sea, covering an area of 900 meters, with marked fishing spots and well-developed paths and swimming areas.
If you buy a fishing permit here, it also applies to Østre and Vestre Grimevann, Eftevann, Store Eftevann, Lille Eftevann, and Skjebbetjønn. Fishing permits can be purchased at mittfiske.no.
