Bygland Museum is an open-air museum with local farm buildings, the oldest ones dating back to the 17th century.

The big open-hearth room from 1650 gives a glimpse into the Middle Ages in Norway. Outside, the traditional food plants are a pleasant sight. The museum is beautifully located by the lake of Byglandsfjorden. Close by is the Bjoren pier and pub and a swimming spot.
The museum has no guides, but the doors are open. At Glashytta you may borrow an audio guide with headphones providing information when you explore the museum.
