Kristiansand has a variety of shopping - from shopping malls to small boutiques, antique shops, Norwegian design brands, international brands and local handicraft shops.

In Kvadraturen, the city centre of Kristiansand, you can find more than 400 shops to choose from. It is around 100 establishments that serve food and drink and take good care of their customers. Kristiansand's main shopping street is Markensgate, a long pedestrian street in the city centre. Skippergata, one of the most charming streets in Kristiansand is home to fashion stores, art galleries and cafes.

In Kristiansand, shops are usually open from 9 AM - 6 PM and on Saturdays from 9 AM - 4 PM. There are extended opening hours in the malls. On Sunday most of the shops are closed, but souvenir shop's, restaurants, museums and galleries are open.

  • Hansen & Co: Nordic interior design and selected brands are presented over 500 sqm. in a traditional wooden building. Hansen & Co was named the country's best interior and design store when they received the Designbase Award Norway 2019. As the only store in Norway, Hansen & Co has also received a nomination for the global Gia Award 2019. Here, retail experts will select the world's best retail stores.
  • Kollektivet: Local entrepreneurs, artists and designers have joined forces. Vintage clothes and furniture, local jewelry design, art.
  • Hopeful: Art, gift items, souvenirs and an own Setesdals department.
  • Atelier Ribe: Interior design shop with brands like Menu, Fredericia, Aesop, Bang & Olufsen, Lala Berlin, Klong.
