This Empire style building from 1827 contains a unique collection of tools, domestic utensils and furniture which presents the lives of our ancestors in the old maritime town of Lillesand.
Lillesand Town and Shipping Museum is located in Carl Knudsen-gaarden. The main building is in Empire style from 1827, and is once again in its original colours. It contains a large collection of tools, kitchen utensils and furniture which give a detailed picture of what our ancestors’ lives were like in a seaport.
The museum also have different art and photo exebitions during summer season.
Open in summer season. Guided tours outside opening hours is possible.
