Yellow itinerary - For families

RISØR–ARENDAL–KRISTIANSAND–SETESDAL– MANDAL–LYNGDAL–FLEKKEFJORD

Start in Risør with a visit to Den Lille Dyrehage zoo, where great experiences await and you get to see the animals up close. Risør Aquarium is the only saltwater aquarium in Southern Norway, with more than 500 species of fish and marine animals. If the water’s warm, you can take a dip in the giant pot holes at Sild. Continue your journey to Arendal, where lots of experiences await. Visit the Science Centre, take the boat to the car-free, idyllic island Merdø, hire a boat, and go for a swim in Norway’s only floating pool. Then head for Lillesand, a town with lots of places you can go for a dip. Next up is Kristiansand, where you can visit the Zoo and Amusement Park, take a swim at Aquarama, or a trip on the ‘badebåten’ boat that takes you to swimming spots in the archipelago. Visit Evje and the Mineral Park or take the family rafting on the Otra river. Then head for Åseral and Eikerapen Gjestegard, where you can experience nature on horseback. Visit Mandal and then drive on to the family town Lyngdal. Rosfjord Strandhotell is a great base for activities such as Adventure Golf and a visit to the swimming pools at Sørlandsbadet. Conclude the trip with rail cycling in Flekkefjord.
