Unni runs the goldsmith workshop and the jewelry gallery. Here you will find good design, and craftsmanship stemming from old tradition, unique jewelry, and good quality. The goldsmith holds courses, covering subjects such as knife making, soldering techniques, and jewelry.
At Achilles, shoes and sandals are sewn on good, old-fashioned machines. Customers stopping by to order new shoes and have a chat are often served a nice cup of tea in a friendly atmosphere. At Achilles, bespoke shoes are sewn, and should you wish for some other leather goods such belts and purses for yourself, then these can be sewn to requested specifications.
Littanna loves saltwater! With their heart firmly placed in Norwegian coast-culture, local design, and a focus on sustainability, they produce unique products that draw inspiration from south-Norwegian culture and tradition. You will find pillows, clothing, grocery nets, among other goods.
Merete’s Atelier in the Gazebo is a colorful shop with an extensive selection of fabric, sewing accessories, sewing machines, and interior. Here you will also find nice clothes and one of Norway’s best selections of cutlery and textiles from Danish Green Gate.
At Torskeholmen you will find the gallery of the artists Sølvi Sanden and Sven Nielsen. Both are renowned artists both within Norway and abroad. They display nice pictures with many different motives and colors.
Husflidstua was established in 1995. Husflidstua has built up a solid competence in local bunadstraditions (the bunad is the national costume of Norway). The shop has a wide selection of yarns and knitted products, gifts, and souvenirs.
Goldsmith and workshop established in 1904. Fourth generation master goldsmith Mark Thomas Rahd runs the shop. Here you will among other things find bunadssilver, diamonds, watches (both new and vintage), and christening gifts.
Grimstad furniture restoration and gilding performs professional restoration of old furniture, and gilding of old frames for mirrors and paintings. Lars and Ruby Backer have education from Norway and Italy, and has more than 15 years of experience in their craft.
In the middle of the town square in Grimstad, you will find a charming atelier with many beautiful artpieces. Ingunn, who runs the atelier, has also brought with her other local artisans/craftsmen that aid in making your visit a nice experience.
In the pedestrian street you will find Art no. 1. Here you can buy handcrafted art pieces from local workshops, including among others, unique ceramics, beautiful pictures, handmade glass pearls, and handpainted clothing.
Goldsmith and jeweler, specialized in silverware for bunad (Norwegian national costume). Frank Helle from Setesdal is a 4th generation silversmith. At Helles Gold & Silver, silver accessories for bunads from the districts of Åmli (Eastern Agder), west Agder, Telemark, and Setesdal is made.
