Enjoy a delicious meal in lush rose garden at Smag & Behag Bjellandstrand.

Smag & Behag Bjellandstrand is situated on the island Tromøy outside Arendal, in the middle of Raet National Park and with the sea as the closest neighbor.

On the farm you will find a café with delicious food, cakes and drinks, a lush rose garden, gallery with local art, and an ice cream bar in the summer. The food is based on the season's finest ingredients, and the hosts take pride in using local quality produce to create fresh and enticing food. Vegetables, berries and fruit are often gathered from the farm's own beach garden, or foraged in the surrounding area.

Enjoy a glass of wine in the shade of the apple trees, or let the kids burn off some energy on the popular playground. Lower your shoulders, stroll around the rose garden, and take the time to smell the flowers.

Smag & Behag Bjellandstrand welcomes parties and celebrations all year round, and is a lovely place to organize birthday parties, company parties and weddings. The rose garden creates a beautiful frame around the big day, and it is also possible to marry on the pebble beach which is a stone's throw from the farm.

Bjellandstrand farm was started in 2006 by Jon and Unni Ramsvatn. They have built up the farm to become a popular destination for both locals and tourists. In the summer of 2019, Smag & Behag took over the operation of Bjellandstrand, with Kenneth Haugeland and Francisca Witsø as new hosts. Smag & Behag is a popular restaurant in the center of Grimstad with a focus on high quality food and locally sourced ingredients.
