Kristiansand Airport Kjevik
Kristiansand Airport Kjevik lies 66 kilometres from Arendal. The Airport Coach takes you to/from the airport and Arendal. From Arendal there are buses to Tvedestrand, Risør, Åmli and Vegårshei.
Sandefjord Airport Torp
Take a taxi from Torp Airport Sandefjord to the bus stop Fokserød by the E18, where there are a bus connections with either Lavprisekspressen or Vy express to Arendal.
Arendal is located about 150 kilometres from Sandefjord Airport Torp. Risør and Tvedestrand are located by the coast, and have bus connections from the E18 and down to the coast.
The coastal ferry route to Southern Norway starts at Hirtshals in Denmark and ends in Kristiansand. The Color Line "Superspeed" ferry only takes three hours and 30 minutes. This route has two departures daily. In summer the Fjord Line ferry "Master Cat" takes 2 hours and 30 minutes. There are also several ferry departures from Denmark to Langesund and Larvik, which are situated 100 and 129 kilometers east of Arendal.
Vy offers several train departures between Oslo / Arendal / Kristiansand every day.
Vy express (Kristiansand and Oslo)
There are departures to and from Oslo/Kristiansand many times a day with VY190. The bus stops by the E18, and there are bus connections from this main road down to Risør, Tvedestrand and Arendal town centres. Tickets can be bought on the bus or at Vy/nettbuss.no.

There are several departures to and from Oslo/Kristiansand each day. Arendal is about 260 kms west The bus stops by E18, and you can take a taxi down to Risør, Tvedestrand and Arendal town centres.

Arendal is reachable from the road E18. From Oslo you drive southwest towards Kristiansand. From Kristiansand you drive east. Check the distances in the table above.
There are exits from E18 to most towns and villages -Arendal, Risør and Tvedestrand. To drive to Åmli, exit at Fianesvingen (20 kilometres east of Arendal) and follow rv. 415 to Åmli. To drive to Vegårshei, exit E18 at Fianesvingen, and follow rv. 415 and then rv. 414 to Vegårshei.
